Non-Destructive Inspection & Testing Services has been providing integrity critical plant inspection and component testing services to a wide range of clients across most sectors of industry for 35 years. The company, which is UKAS & NADCAP approved, employs more than 50 fully qualified permanent staff across its three sites which are strategically located to provide UK nationwide coverage and support services for projects in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and the USA.

As an independent service provider we are committed to working with clients and using the best available solutions to improve component quality and asset integrity in a cost effective fashion.

More than 60% of the work we do is on safety-critical components demanding very high quality standards. This requires that we achieve & maintain compliance with stringent industry & client Quality Accreditations for personnel, techniques, procedures, equipment & facilities.

In the aerospace sector, our clients, and formal approvals, include Airbus. Boeing, MBDA, Rolls Royce & GKN.

In the energy sector our clients include BNFL, GE, Powergen, Siemens and Westinghouse.

Industrial clients include ABB, Air Products, Bechtel, Cosworth, HJ Heinz, Rockwell & TI Automotive..

In the oil & gas industry we work for the likes of BP, Britannia, Chevron, Dow, Enterprise, Lloyds, Reliance, Repsol, Shell and Texaco and in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector for companies like Dow, EVC, Ineos & Kimberly-Clark.

Our repertoire of services includes the full spectrum of conventional techniques such as radiographic, ultrasonic, eddy current, penetrant & magnetic particle testing to more specialised methods such as Time of Flight Diffraction, high resolution ultrasonic imaging and digital radiography.

In addition to these non-invasive inspection techniques, many of which can be applied 'on stream', we also offer a range of complementary tube testing services which include remote visual, IRIS ultrasonic & eddy current methods.

Supplementary services include technical support, technique development and inspection planning.

Industrial applications cover the quality control of manufactured and fabricated components and their through life 'Risk Based' Inspection centred on the effects of service induced defects such as corrosion, erosion, material degradation and mechanical damage caused by cyclic loading - particularly in applications where micro-structural damage has occurred.

Our philosophy is quite simple. We believe that effective inspection, or at least the information inspection can generate if used appropriately, is a powerful asset management tool which helps mitigate risk and reduce cost. We also believe in working with (not for) our clients and that sufficient solutions exist to fix rather than just highlight problems.

NDT Inspection with Rope access
All our inspection services are available utilising rope access techniques to compete with the high regard for safety and commercial awareness that the new millennium requires. All our NDT Inspection Rope Access operators are IRATA trained operators. All our rope access projects are done in accordance with IRATA guide lines
