Policy Statement
It is the policy of NDT Inspection and Testing
Ltd (referred to hereafter as "NDT") to provide
and maintain a healthy and safe working environment
for its employees and where appropriate, its customers.
The companies' primary health and safety objective is
to minimize the number of instances of occupational
accidents, illnesses and environmental incidents, in
order to ultimately achieve an accident-free workplace.
NDT recognise and accept their duty to protect
the health and safety of all employees and visitors
to the company, including contractors and temporary
workers, as well as any members of the public who might
be affected by our operations. It seeks to reduce waste
generated from its operations, and ensure that any waste
generated is disposed of in a safe correct manner as
is appropriate. NDT encourages recycling where possible
in order to reduce generated waste. When disposing of
waste, this will be done with regards to best industry
standards using recommended guidelines for safe disposal
as applicable.
Also the company aims, to comply with the terms
of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent
relevant legislation.
In specific connection with regards to the use
of ionising radiation in its day to day operations,
NDT has separate local rules that provide information
on handling storage and transportation etc. This is
a legal requirement as required by the "Ionising
Radiation Regulations 1999" and the company complies
with this to the letter.
NDT will provide any relevant practical advice
to clients as required on the effects of any consumable
materials used to carry out day-to-day activities.
The management of NDT will provide every employee
with such equipment, information, training and supervision
as is necessary to implement the policy and achieve
the stated objective and carry out his or her tasks
safely.
